Trip Introduction :

Next time your family decides to zero in on a destination for your next family holiday, tell them you’re taking them to a place that was cut off from the outer world for 30 years. This protected civilisation has now transformed into an exotic and offbeat travel destination, perfect for a memorable and meaningful family getaway. What makes this the perfect time to visit Spiti valley is the adventure festival of “Spirit Of Spiti” that will see people from all walks of life come together to celebrate the true adventurous spirit of the land. This is a festival for all types of adventure seekers; this is a festival for Mountain bikers, Motorcyclists, Marathon Runners and even Travellers who are seeking to explore a region in the most authentic way.

The landscape of Spiti is dotted with some of the world’s highest monasteries and villages. Grey scree slopes, a touch of barrenness and a sense of ancient civilization are some add-ons. It won’t be crazy to call this landscape Martian.

Spiti is a place that overflows with rich history and unique culture. It’s not like any other travel destination and the reasons to visit Spiti is not like any other travel destination too. Visiting fascinating monasteries that are a window to the Spitian religion, travelling to the World’s Highest Motorable Village of Komik at 15,027 feet, seeing a 500 year old mummified body of a Buddhist Monk named Sangha Tenzin resting in the small village of Gue, sending Postcards from the Highest Post Office of the World at 14,567 feet in the village of Hikkim, living at welcoming homestays in quaint villages, trekking to untouched high altitude lakes are a handful of unique and fascinating reasons to visit this valley.

We have carefully honed an itinerary that lets you and your family leisurely explore Spiti through its travel, adventure, music, food and practically anything that can slow time down for you. We have also organized one of India’s highest marathons in the village of Kaza at 12,000 ft above sea level. This is an optional activity that your group can indulge in. What makes this marathon a one of a kind run are the never heard before high altitudes it’s organized at and the spectacular views of the valleys and mountains of Spiti falling on both the sides of the run route. Once you’re done experiencing the true adventure of Spiti, it will be time to experience the true culture of Spiti. Following the marathon awaits The Spiti Carnival, a celebration where the local tribes come and exhibit their rich culture through their art forms, cuisine, music, and performances.
